All of our parent dogs undergo comprehensive health testing through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), including: • Hips (or PennHIP) • Heart • Patellas • Elbows • Eyes In addition, our parent dogs are genetically tested for 130+ inherited conditions. This includes, but is not limited to: • Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA) • Von Willebrand Disease • Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS) • Golden Retriever Progressive Retinal Atrophy • Ichthyosis • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) • Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) • Chondrodysplasia (CDDY) This extensive testing helps us prioritize the long-term health and well-being of every puppy we raise.

Labradoodles are often described as “low-shedding” or “allergy-friendly,” but no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic. Labradoodles are a mix of the Labrador Retriever and Poodle, and at Oopsie Doodles, our puppies are F1b (75% Poodle) and F1bb (87.5% Poodle)— the most allergy-friendly you can get without being a full Poodle. This means you should not find hair from an Oopsie Doodle puppy on your clothes or furniture. Much like humans, you may notice the occasional hair during brushing or bathing. Many families with mild allergies do very well with Labradoodles, especially those with a higher Poodle percentage. If allergies are a concern, ask us about our t-shirt test!
