All of our parent dogs undergo comprehensive health testing through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), including: • Hips (or PennHIP) • Heart • Patellas • Elbows • Eyes In addition, our parent dogs are genetically tested for 130+ inherited conditions. This includes, but is not limited to: • Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA) • Von Willebrand Disease • Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS) • Golden Retriever Progressive Retinal Atrophy • Ichthyosis • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) • Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) • Chondrodysplasia (CDDY) This extensive testing helps us prioritize the long-term health and well-being of every puppy we raise.

Australian Labradoodles are often described as “low-shedding” or “allergy-friendly,” but no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic. Unlike early-generation Labradoodles, Australian Labradoodles are a carefully developed multi-generational breed, typically made up of Labrador Retriever, Poodle, and often Cocker Spaniel (with occasional infusion of other breeds like the Irish Water Spaniel or Curly Coat Retriever in their lineage). At Oopsie Doodles, our Australian Labradoodles are multi-generational (ALD), meaning they are bred specifically for consistent coats, temperaments, and allergy-friendly qualities—without needing to rely on traditional F1 or F1b classifications. This means you should not find noticeable shedding from an Oopsie Doodle puppy on your clothes or furniture. Like humans, you may see an occasional hair during brushing or bathing, but it is minimal. Many families with allergies do very well with Australian Labradoodles, especially those with fleece or wool coat types. If allergies are a concern, ask us about our t-shirt test!
